Many reasons could be stated such as, the ignorance of producers about women as a target-group or the disinterest of men could be declared as two of many.
During recent years bicycle and component producers recognized the importance and potential of this huge group and started to introduce specially for women designed products into the market. Specific geometries of mountain bikes and softer suspension are some of the differences made.
