Many reasons could be stated such as, the ignorance of producers about women as a target-group or the disinterest of men could be declared as two of many.
During recent years bicycle and component producers recognized the importance and potential of this huge group and started to introduce specially for women designed products into the market. Specific geometries of mountain bikes and softer suspension are some of the differences made.
There is a new web page aiming to create a special platform for women. The phrase on top of the page is; "This site is here to inform the world that there is more to it then only the men's world of cycling" explaining the ambition of ladiescycling.net
