- 2006 has been a successful for UK women’s professional team, Team FBUK. In its first year as a professional the team has had great success on and off road and established itself well in the European peleton.

- Team FBUK currently have two sets of objects. Firstly, to build a strong team for 2007, and two, to keep the fantastic cyclo-cross season moving forward at full speed. This week, both of these objectives have been fulfilled.

- Following on from a great tour in Brittany last week, FBUK– Schwinn travelled to Limoges in France for a 3 day UCI 2.2 tour. Having spent the week at a lovely house in France, team spirits were very high entering the first stage, a 4.6km time trial around a tight and hilly course.

- The past 3 weeks has seen Team FBUK – Schwinn travelling Europe to some great events. The team has had riders in races in Holland, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Norway, France and the UK.

- The first round of the Women's National Series was won by Team FBUK - Schwinn rider Lorna Webb this weekend. The 80km race was ridden in fine conditions following the morning rain. FBUK had 8 riders in the bunch, 5 of which had returned from Belgium for the event.

- In a great week for Team FBUK - ABUS, as riders have hit every step of the podium. The week began in Corwaren in Belgium. A depleted team of 3 riders started due to illness of the 3 other riders based in Belgium, however with a good race plan and great finishing sprint, FBUK rider Lorna Webb got 3rd in the bunch sprint to take the teams first podium of the season. Line Ramsrud of Norway gained 11th place on the day, with Emma Silversides taking 21st.

- Saturday 11 March saw Team FBUK – Schwinn riders from around Europe descend on the team’s Belgian base for the start of a training and racing week. The week was the first opportunity for the team management and riders to get to know each other in race situations and build on the team spirit carried forward from 2005.
