Expert Ladies Tour

The Holland Ladies Tour gallery is fully updated. Many thanks to Hans de Vlieger for sharing his pictures from the time trial. It's very much appreciated.

Also nice to see was the outcome of the time trial, including the general classification afterwards. Certainly when everybody is caling you crazy when you mention that Kristin Armstrong is going to win this tour. After the stage in Nijverdal where a leading group of 16 riders was formed. Without Vos, but with Arndt and, yes, Armstrong. That was the moment it was as clear as water that Armstrong would play out her cards in the final time trial. Even when there was still one short stage to go. It would be bad luck if she lost more time.

"If you have ever been anywhere near, or in, a bike crash, you never forget the sound of helmets and bikes and bodies hitting cement. Today, my friend and teammate Tricia went down on a rather benign stretch of road. Her helmet cracked from the blow and her glasses were crushed. Hurray for the UCI! Mandate those helmets. Today is her birthday. Thanks to the helmet, she'll live to see another."
