Desert princesses
Since 2002, the Men’s Tour of Qatar is successfully established as one of the star events to kick off the cycling season. A select position already coveted by the brand new Ladies Tour of Qatar, which will be launched early on in 2009. From the 8th to the 10th of February, the world’s elite in women’s cycling will be present in Doha, fighting for victory.
A race of such prestige calls for equally prestigious stage starts and so, on the programme:
- the magnificent Museum of Islamic Art
- the Qatar Foundation
- the Camel Race Track
15 teams, 6 national and 9 sporting groups, 90 champions from 5 continents, 14 nationalities will be vying for ultimate victory in this first edition of the Ladies Tour of Qatar.
