Argon 18 is proud to present Team Expresscopy.com/Argon 18 at the Montreal UCI World Cup Race.
The 10th Edition Montreal World Cup race is right around the corner and Team expresscopy.com is approaching it with confidence and enthusiasm. The Press Conference for the race was held yesterday and Anne Samplonius was the sole representative of Team expresscopy.com. She shouldered the responsibility well and featured in a number of TV interviews, rubbed shoulders with Daniel Manibal (President and CEO), and posed for a number of shots with the Argon 18. Cyclist, tv star and model all rolled into one.
The Montreal World Cup
The race tomorrow will be eleven circuits of a 10.06km course (a total of 110.66km) and feature both climbing and some technical cornering. The start/finish line has changed from previous years and will now be on Park Avenue - allowing more people to view the finish line. Speaking with D.S Jeff Alexander earlier today he is not prepared to give away any race tactics, "the change in layout will mean teams will be approaching the course differently and I expect the racing to be quite different to previous years". We are hoping for dry conditions after the light rain Montreal is receiving today but the forecast advises a chance of thunderstorms which may slow the pace down.Team expresscopy.com will be familiar with the majority of the teams entered, having raced against them at either the Tour of the Gila, or the Tour de l'Aude. Nicole Cooke will once again be present racing for Raleigh Lifeforce, as will Oenone Wood racing for T-mobile. We will see here if their absence from the Tour de l'Aude paid off. Two teams from the Southern Hemisphere have entered, one from New Zealand and one from Australia.
The
racing will be hard and fast with the mixing of North American and
European riding styles. It is going to be a very exciting day!
