MONTEREY, Calif. (May 11, 2007) Organizers for the Sea Otter Classic, a Celebration of Sport, announced today the event dates for the 18th annual event would be May 1- 4, 2008. At a recent strategic planning meeting, the event's directors considered several factors in determining the move into early May. Key factors included the probability of better weather conditions and the likely schedules of national and international racing and event calendars for 2008.

In a great week for Team FBUK - ABUS, as riders have hit every step of the podium. The week began in Corwaren in Belgium. A depleted team of 3 riders started due to illness of the 3 other riders based in Belgium, however with a good race plan and great finishing sprint, FBUK rider Lorna Webb got 3rd in the bunch sprint to take the teams first podium of the season. Line Ramsrud of Norway gained 11th place on the day, with Emma Silversides taking 21st.
